How Much Will My Renovation Cost?

The cost of a renovation will vary based on a number of factors. Obvious factors are the size of renovation and quality of materials/finishings selected.

A big factor is will you need a Building Consent?
If you are doing a re-clad, adding an extension, moving a load-bearing/brace wall, adding plumbing fixtures into your new kitchen or bathroom, or wanting a tiled shower, you will need a Building Consent.
Building Consent often requires an architect and engineer, in addition to Council fees, extra paperwork and extra labour hours. All these factors add cost to your renovation.
